Dr. Kwabena Addo Pambour

Managing Director (encoord GmbH)

Kwabena is the Co-Founder of encoord and Managing Director of encoord GmbH. He has a Ph.D. in Energy Systems from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands, and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master in Business Administration from RWTH Aachen University, Germany.

Before working for encoord, he was employed by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), in Petten, the
Netherlands, as a scientific researcher to conduct research
in the area of security of energy supply in integrated gas and electricity transmission networks. After his employment at the EC-JRC, he worked as a software consultant and gas system engineer for LIWACOM GmbH, in Essen, Germany, where he trained and consulted several Gas Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and Regulators on how to plan, model, analyze and optimize the operation of gas pipeline networks using mathematical models and software applications.

Kwabena is an expert in energy systems modelling and software development. He is the developer of the energy systems integration software SAInt, which he developed in the framework of his doctoral dissertation. He has published and presented several peer reviewed articles at high level international conferences and in scientific journals. He is a Co-Guest-Editor of the Special Issue "Computational Analysis of Natural Gas Supply Chains" of the international open access journal Energies.
