Getnet earned his PhD (double degree) in Energy Technology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden and IMT Atlantique, France. Prior to starting at encoord, he was an Assistant Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Ethiopia. In his role at encoord, Getnet is improving existing and developing new models of electricity and thermal networks.
