About
Jacob received an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2019, and is currently finishing a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder with research focused on the intersection of water and energy systems. Before encoord, he worked on a variety of research projects focusing on modeling riverine systems, the hazards they can create, and the importance of riverine water quality for maintaining healthy ecosystems. Jacob’s role at encoord includes developing tools to connect SAInt with new technologies with a near-term focus on building data conversion tools.
Why encoord?
“I know the complications of modeling coupled energy systems through my PhD research. I am passionate about creating tools for engineers to model, understand, and improve coupled energy systems operations and planning. encoord is at the forefront of this area!”
